WHAT MAKES NEWBOLD DIFFERENT
Vertical Integration
NewBold owns its PCI-certified Key Injection Facility outright, so encryption, compliance, and configuration all happen in-house. That removes the external injection vendors most programs depend on and the compliance gaps that appear at every handoff.
Complete Supply Chain
One partner owns procurement, inventory, key injection, software loading, staging, kitting, and fulfillment. You manage a single relationship from purchase order to a device transacting at the counter.
Universal Compatibility
A library of 300+ encryption keys supports every major payment processor and gateway. Whichever processor or ISV platform your locations run, NewBold can inject and configure for it.
Speed to Deploy
High-demand devices are held in inventory with same-day fulfillment capability, so rollouts and replacements move on your timeline, without the multi-week backorders common to direct OEM ordering.
Full Chain-of-Custody
Every device is tracked by serial number from receipt through injection, configuration, testing, and shipment. That auditable trail is exactly what PCI compliance and your security team require.
Lifecycle Continuity
The team that injects and configures your devices also supports them day-to-day, manages advanced exchanges, and plans refresh cycles, with encryption keys securely destroyed at retirement.

FAQs
What is key injection?
Key injection loads encryption keys onto a payment device so it can securely process card transactions for a specific processor or gateway. It protects cardholder data from the moment a card is presented and must be performed inside a PCI-certified facility.
What is a Key Injection Facility (KIF)?
A KIF is a PCI-certified, audited environment for injecting encryption keys into payment devices. NewBold owns and operates its own KIF, so procurement, encryption, and configuration stay in-house with no third-party handoffs and no gaps in the chain of custody.
What's the difference between a payment processor and a gateway?
A processor moves the transaction between the card networks and the banks, while a gateway is the software layer that routes a transaction from the device to the processor. Devices have to be injected and configured for the right combination of both — NewBold’s 300+ encryption keys support every major processor and gateway.
What do EMV and NFC support mean for my devices?
EMV is chip-card acceptance and NFC is contactless (tap-to-pay and mobile wallets). NewBold configures every device for EMV and NFC acceptance during injection, so units arrive ready to take the payment methods your customers expect.
Which payment devices and OEMs do you support?
NewBold injects and supports devices from Ingenico, Verifone, and PAX, alongside Dejavoo, NEXGO, and ID Tech, across countertop, PIN pad, mobile, and unattended form factors.
Do you support my processor or gateway?
NewBold maintains a library of 300+ encryption keys covering every major payment processor and gateway. Share the processor and gateway your locations run and the team will confirm support before you order.
How fast can devices ship?
NewBold holds in-house inventory of high-demand devices with same-day fulfillment capability, and ships pre-configured, key-injected replacements overnight under advanced exchange.
What happens to encryption keys when a device is retired?
Retired payment devices still hold encryption keys, so they’re a compliance exposure until properly destroyed. NewBold handles PCI-specific key destruction and documented disposition as part of IT asset disposition, keeping compliance intact across the full lifecycle.
